Cops hunt for killer after body found in Hollywood Hills home rented by ex-TV host

Los Angeles police said Friday they are searching for the killer of a man at a home in the Hollywood Hills. The house is being rented by former Canadian TV talk-show host George Stroumboulopoulos. He said in a statement that the victim was a close friend who was staying there while Stroumboulopoulos was in New York. He also said it appears the killing occurred during a break-in. City News Service says the victim was in his 40s and suffered head trauma. The cause of death and the name of the victim were not immediately disclosed. Officer Drake Madison says police were called shortly after 2 a.m. to the house not far from the Hollywood Bowl.
