23 September 2016 Last updated at 16:56 BST Warplanes have carried out fresh air strikes on Aleppo, hours after Syrias government announced an offensive to retake rebel-held areas of the city. Ibrahim Abu-Laith, the head of the White Helmets volunteer group in eastern Aleppo, spoke to the BBC from its media office there. He said Aleppos residential areas had been targeted to an unprecedented level. Interview by BBC Arabics Nader Ibrahim.
